Railway track replacement. How flexible steel rails can be

It’s not a repair, it’s a replacement of the old sectional track with new ribbon rail. The ribbon rail is welded together for a seamless continuation, that’s why very few trains make that clickety clack sound now.

The rail is all one long smooth surface with no gaps. In this video, you can see the gaps and the bolt braces holding the old rails together.

It is amazing how flexible steel rails can be.
