Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot was a French engineer and inventor who experimented with working models of steam-engine-powered vehicles for the French Army, intended for transporting cannons, starting in 1765.
He built this Fardier to carry the weapons and not to tire men and horses anymore!!!!! The first car in history was born in 1769!
