133 years ago, Karl Benz had a dream: to create the world’s first car. In a few months he managed to lay the foundation. The three-wheeled car, although resembling the motorized tracks of those times, was specially designed to use a four-stroke internal combustion engine.
It has a single cylinder of 954 cc, which initially produced 0.7 hp, but then it then went, passing through different power phases, to 2 hp. It allowed a maximum speed of 16 km / h.
On January 29, 1886, Benz filed for Berlin a patent application for his three-wheeled vehicle. Since then, it has been considered the official birthday of the car. At the same time, Gottlieb Daimler develops his first four-wheel drive.
