1886 Benz Motorwagen – World’s first car cold start

On July 3, 1886, the first car “saw” the light of day! The one who gave the vehicle to the world was none other than Karl Benz. German genius Karl Friedrich Benz is regarded as the inventor of the first vehicle designed to be propelled by an engine. Together with Bertha Benz, he created the Mercedes-Benz Empire

133 years ago, Karl Benz had a dream: to create the world’s first car. In a few months he managed to lay the foundation. The three-wheeled car, although resembling the motorized tracks of those times, was specially designed to use a four-stroke internal combustion engine.

It has a single cylinder of 954 cc, which initially produced 0.7 hp, but then it then went, passing through different power phases, to 2 hp. It allowed a maximum speed of 16 km / h.
On January 29, 1886, Benz filed for Berlin a patent application for his three-wheeled vehicle. Since then, it has been considered the official birthday of the car. At the same time, Gottlieb Daimler develops his first four-wheel drive.
