The Mikoyan-Gurevici MiG-29 is a fourth-generation jet fighter designed in the Soviet Union to fulfill the role of an air superiority aircraft. The aircraft was developed in the 1970s by the Mikoyan design bureau and entered service with the Soviet Air Force in 1983.
