Mobile-bearing walls with which Austrians protect against floods

 

During the summer of 2013, the floods in Central Europe reached record levels and caused major damage everywhere … or almost.

In the Austrian city of Grein, an emergency plan had already been put in place, which helped secure the streets and citizens by curbing the threatening waters of the Danube through an impressive feat of engineering.
