Never use a ladder when cutting down a large tree

It happened in small town in Czech Republic.

Probably a neighbor with a chainsaw was called to cut down a very tall tree. Everything seems well calculated. They used a tall ladder, a rope to pull the tree in the desired direction and obviously a chainsaw.

But look at what happened.
What do you think was the mistake?
