Rare footage with a wolf cooling off in a mountain river

 

Rare images of a wolf cooling off in a mountain river have been captured in the Apuseni Natural Park in Romania. Animals feel unusually high temperatures, even at higher altitudes.

“On a hot day, a bath in a mountain river is welcome. The unique images of a wolf cooling off in a forest of the Apuseni Natural Park in Romania were taken with the help of a fauna monitoring camera installed by our colleague Raul Ghiran”, said Romsilva representatives.

According to the cited source, wolves live in packs and are rarely seen in the wild. Most packs consist of the dominant pair, consisting of the alpha male and female, and their young up to 3 years old. Sometimes other wolves, relatives of the alpha ones, can appear. In every pack there is a respected order, body language expressing the position of the wolf in the pack.
