Russian Army have created a monster ‘turtle tank’ as they try to thwart Ukrainian drones.

The video footage reveals a tank enveloped in a complete layer of armored plating, fortified with anti-drone wiring. Additionally, it boasts a KMT-7 mine plough at the forefront, specifically engineered for minefield clearance. It’s highly probable that the tank is outfitted with sophisticated jamming mechanisms to counter drone threats, although this isn’t evident in the footage, similar tanks have been equipped with such technology.

Further footage from inside the tank exhibits how the armor severely limits its visibility, immobilizing the turret and hindering rotation. The increased weight appears to have significantly reduced the vehicle’s speed to a mere crawl. Despite these drawbacks, Ukrainian forces report difficulty in neutralizing these tanks, which have become increasingly prevalent in Russian armored assaults. This strategic deployment aligns with Ukraine’s dwindling artillery and anti-tank munitions reserves, prompting a shift towards employing FPV drones. While less destructive, these drones offer heightened precision, targeting the tank’s vulnerabilities with greater accuracy. Concurrently, Russia, facing its own tank shortages, aims to conserve its existing fleet.
