A small plane landed on a US runway that was pretty ice-covered and had snow.
The braking of the airplane was cumbersome and did not happen until the end of the runway.
The plane stopped in the snow.
Fortunately no one was injured, but surely some winter tires would have had better performance and maybe this incident would have been avoided.
Normally, planes do not need winter tires because they expect the runway to be cleaned and only after that take-off is allowed.
