New system on the roads to stop wrong side driving

In  Pune city (India), the tire boring system has been installed to inhibit drivers from driving on the wrong side of the road (which by the way are common).

Basically, the system consists of a metal strip that behaves differently when the car passes in the normal direction of the track. However, the opposite side has tips that pierce the tires of drivers who try to drive their vehicle in the opposite direction.

The following video shows the efficient system in detail. Though scary, the tire boring system seems to be an effective solution to address this Indian traffic problem. Oh, if you’ve already rented cars in Europe and the United States, you’ve seen that too in the entrances and exits of the parks.
