The Russian nuclear icebreaker Jamal is powered by a 75,000 horse engine

The icebreaker Jamal sailed in 1989 and belongs to Atomflot. It got its name from the Siberian Yamal Peninsula. It measures 148 meters, is 30 meters wide and has a draft of 11 meters. Its maximum speed is 38.2 km / h. Energy is generated by two reactors of the OK-900A series (2 × 171 MW) and two steam turbogenerators (2 × 27.6 MW). The icebreaker serves 189 crew members.
