A very interesting science experiment in building a train which consists of a AA battery with a strong magnet on each end that moves through a helical coil of copper wire. The motion of the train results from the interaction between the magnetic field created by the current in the wire and the magnetic field of the magnets.
That’s a very simple experiment that we can show to our kids.
